PIC32CX-BZ3 and WBZ35x Curiosity Board Features:

Overview


This development kit is an all-in-one platform that you can use to evaluate the PIC32CX-BZ3 SoCs and WBZ35x modules.

They are general purpose, low-cost, 32-bit wireless MCUs with:

  • ARM® Cortex® M4F core
  • Ultra-low power 2.4 GHz transceiver enabling Bluetooth® Low-Energy (LE) 5.2 and Zigbee® 3.0 connectivity
  • Hardware-based security accelerator (secure boot)
  • Capacitive touch

The PIC32CX-BZ3 and WBZ35x Curiosity board is preconfigured with an out-of-the-box sensor application that demonstrates Bluetooth LE. You can also evaluate the CVD Touch functionality by adding the QT7 Xplained Pro extension kit. Additional Bluetooth and Zigbee application examples are available in MPLAB® Harmony v3.

The PIC32CX-BZ3 and WBZ35x Curiosity Board includes:

  • Integrated programming/debugging features using the PICkit On-board 4 (PKOB4) debugger interface
  • mikroBUS header providing expanded functionality using MIKROE Click boards™
  • Xplained Pro header to interface with extension boards including the QT7 Xplained Pro extension kit (for evaluating touch capability)
  • Micro USB cable for powering and programming the board

The PIC32CX-BZ3 and WBZ35x Curiosity Board supports a variety of Bluetooth and Zigbee applications including:

  • Home automation or Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Industry 4.0
  • Smart building
  • Automotive control
