As communications technology expands to gas and water meters, they need interoperable, low-power wireless capabilities to send and receive data to and from the utility. We provide wireless transceivers as well as the communications and security software for Zigbee® Smart Energy Profile, the MiWi™ networking protocol and proprietary networks. Select between our stand-alone ICs or agency-certified modules with a variety of gain and antenna options. Our 802.15.4 and sub-GHz transceivers are available as stand-alone chips for cost and form factor optimization or as agency-certified modules for quicker and simpler design cycles. Industry-standard software for Zigbee Smart Energy Profile (SEP) and TCP/IP is available in source code form. Our MiWi protocol is a lightweight mesh or peer-to-peer solution for sub-GHz and 802.15.4 networks.

We provide a Zigbee Smart Energy Profile Suite which includes the Smart Energy Profile (SEP) along with the Zigbee PRO stack and Zigbee Cluster Library. Sub-GHz

Gas and water utility companies are interested in sub-GHz technology because of its better tradeoff between power consumption and radio range as compared to 24 GHz radios. We offer sub-Ghz solutions ranging from 300 MHz to 950 MHz. Our MiWi networking protocol supports both 2.4 GHz and sub-GHz radios and can reduce the time to market for your application.
