Our 32-bit microprocessor (MPU)-based solutions are well suited for in-car control panels, gateways, telematics and audio applications. MPUs that are recommended for automotive applications are AEC-Q100 Grade 2 qualified and backed by our client-driven obsolescence practice of continuing to supply a product for as long as possible and while demand for the product exists. These MPUs offer advanced on-chip security functionality and are supported by a rich panel of Microchip companion ICs including fully optimized power management ICs.

To simplify your development of automotive applications using our 32-bit MPUs, we offer complete software solutions for the Linux® operating system and bare metal/RTOS. We also provide AUTOSAR®-compliant MCAL driver software. Use our MPLAB® Harmony embedded software development framework and Ensemble Graphics Toolkit (EGT) to easily configure and customize your design.
