MCHPRT3—Microchip Radio Tool Third Generation

Overview

The MCHPRT3 Radio Testing Tool is a Windows®-based software tool for RF evaluation and testing of wireless designs during development, certification and production. It enables low-level radio testing capabilities by manually setting the radio into transmit or receive modes. It works with the devices/modules listed in the table below.

To use this tool effectively, you should have a good understanding of radio circuit theory and radio test methods. 

Features

  • Windows-based installer package with built-in license agreement wizard 
  • Uses UART (serial interface) for control and communication 
  • Graphical User Interface (GUI) for configuration and display
  • Command Line Interface (CLI) and Dynamic link library (DLL) to support automated test script development 
  • Can read/write the device’s MAC address 
  • Package includes HUT firmware 
  • Supports test features such as: 
  • Link test with configurable packets and number of packets to be sent
  • Continuous Tx 
  • Continuous Rx 
  • Tx power level configuration 
  • Tx/Rx channel selection 
  • Calibration of device RF parameters
