Choose the Peripheral for Your Design

Controller Area Network 2.0 (CAN 2.0) and CAN Flexible Data Rate (CAN FD)

The CAN/CAN FD industrial- and automotive-centric asynchronous serial data communication protocol provides reliable communications in an electrically noisy environment

Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART) / LIN

This is a simple, cost-effective, two-wire asynchronous serial communication protocol.

Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C)

The Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) module is a two-wire serial interface that is useful for communicating with other peripheral or microcontroller (MCU) devices.

Single Edge Nibble Transmission (SENT)

SENT is a protocol designed for point-to-point transmission of signal values and is widely adopted in automotive and industrial applications.

Inter-IC Sound (I2S™)

I2S is a data converter that implements a three-wire, half-duplex, synchronous serial interface to handle stereo data. It is one of the interfaces supported by the Data Converter Interface (DCI).

Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)

The SPI is a general-purpose four-wire, synchronous serial interface for communicating with other peripherals or MCUs.

Universal Serial Bus (USB)

The USB module contains analog and digital components to provide a USB 2.0 full-speed and low-speed embedded host, full-speed device or On-the-Go (OTG) implementation with a minimum of external components.

10BASE-T1S Single Pair Ethernet (SPE)

The latest Ethernet technology that eliminates the need for gateways and facilitates high-bandwidth communication with multi-drop network topology. dsPIC33 DSCs together with LAN8651 enable adding 10BASE-T1S SPE communication to your designs
