Our USB switches and transceivers provide switching functions to enable a single USB port of connection in a wide range of portable and other applications like battery charging or stereo/mono microphone audio. They can also be used to implement switching between Full-Speed and Low-Speed data rates used in cell phones, digital still and video cameras, set-top boxes, IP/video phones and many other electronic devices. These solutions are backed by our client-driven obsolescence practice of continuing to supply a product for as long as possible and while demand for the product exists.
Mobile devices, with their reduced size and minimal number of connectors, enable a single port of connectivity for transferring USB data and USB charging. Designed for use in portable devices, our Hi-Speed USB switches and port protection products offer a compelling USB solution for battery-powered mobile applications. They provide an ultra-small footprint, data multiplexing on a common connector and proven ESD protection, all at speeds of up to double the industry-required USB 2.0 bandwidth. Leveraging our RapidCharge Anywhere functionality, the USB3750 can also be used to seamlessly provide USB Battery Charging detection and detect industry-standard SE1-type chargers.
Our fifth generation of highly integrated and full-featured Hi-Speed USB 2.0 transceivers based on our proven ULPI interface support a wide variety of different reference clock frequencies and also accept clocking from crystal/resonators and the ULPI 60 MHz clock-in mode. Available in traditional QFN as well as very small form-factor Wafer-Level Chip-Scale Package (WLCSP) options, this family of transceivers includes support for battery charging. They eliminate the need for external VBUS over-voltage protection ICs, USB switches, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection devices and reference oscillators, minimizing your Bill of Materials and conserving valuable board space.
This evaluation board, which features a USB3340 USB 2.0 ULPI transceiver, attaches to a USB link layer to create a USB host, device or On-the-Go system.
This board can be used to evaluate the capabilities of the USB3740 family of high-speed USB switches.
