Low-Cost USB Bridge Controllers

Our USB bridge controllers provide an ultra-fast interface between a USB host and popular Flash media card formats, UART, SPI and Smart Card interfaces. These low-pin count, configurable and turnkey bridges are simple to implement and cost effective to deploy. They also can be used in conjunction with our Hi-Speed Inter-Chip (HSIC)-based USB 2.0 hub controllers for applications that demand low power consumption, a small device size and a cost-reduced BOM without compromising on performance or features. Ideal for enabling card reader functionality in low-power embedded applications, these small-footprint ICs can be used in many different applications including multi-function printers, set-top boxes, automobile audio systems, user authentication and point-of-sale terminals.

These solutions are backed by our client-driven obsolescence practice of continuing to supply a product for as long as possible and while demand for the product exists.

USB-to-Ethernet Connectivity Solutions

USB-to-Ethernet Bridges

Our Ethernet bridge devices enable you to implement Ethernet connectivity to a host processor via USB 2.0, USB 3.x or High-Speed Inter-Chip (HSIC) interfaces. On the Ethernet side, we offer solutions that can connect directly to a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T Ethernet port or to an RGMII/MII PHY.  These solutions also enable you to fan out the local bus to add more downstream USB 2.0 ports if they are needed.
