ProASIC Plus^® FPGAs

Ultra-Low-Density Flash FPGAs

ProASIC Plus^® devices belong to the second generation of Microchip FPGAs, which are based on a 0.22-um, Flash-based CMOS process. They are nonvolatile and reprogrammable FPGAs that combine the advantages of ASIC FPGAs with the benefits of programmable devices through nonvolatile Flash technology.

ProASIC Plus FPGAs are well suited for battery-operated and power-sensitive applications. They don’t contain power-on current surges or high-current transitions which exist on SRAM FPGAs. They have a significantly lower dynamic power consumption than SRAM FPGAs to further maximize power savings.

By simplifying your system design, these FPGAs make the device available to perform critical system setup tasks, reducing bill of materials costs and PCB area.

ProASIC Plus FPGAs contain PLLs and LVPECL I/O and an ASIC design flow. They are available in military and automotive temperature grades.
