SyncSystem 4380A Time Scale Edition


The SyncSystem 4380A Time Scale Edition generates an autonomous time scale derived from combining several highly accurate independent clocks. A multichannel instrument for measuring high-performance cesium clocks or active hydrogen masers is built into the system. These frequency standards operate in a free-running mode and are continuously measured against each other to compute and generate the time scale frequency. The SyncSystem 4380A Time Scale Edition supports a variety of plug-in modules that enable the time scale output timing signals to be distributed in a wide range of formats. It also generates GNSS common view reports to compare the local clock’s performance with remote clocks. This ultra-high-performance timing system is constructed in a robust 1U rack-mountable package with redundant and hot-swappable power supplies.

High-Performance GNSS Time and Frequency Reference


The SyncSystem 4380A provides superior time and frequency performance in a highly configurable 1U rack-mountable package with redundant and hot-swappable power supplies. The combination of a high-performance internal rubidium atomic oscillator and a multi-constellation, multi-band GNSS receiver ensures accurate long-term synchronization with UTC while providing the excellent phase noise and short-term stability demanded by metrology, aerospace, communications and defense applications. The 4380A is well suited to satisfy your current timing needs and provide the flexibility to meet future requirements.

SyncSystem 4380 Modules


The 4380 modules can be used in any combination and, like the hot-swappable power supplies, all modules are also hot-swappable and can be configured on the fly. A single SyncSystem 4380A can be configured with up to six modules. Many of the modules provide multiple outputs or inputs (typically four ports). Modules can be operated in any of the six slots. The unit will automatically detect and configure the system based on the modules(s) installed. The module slots are identified by slot number so the operator can identify the modules' physical location in the chassis.
