Advanced Synchronization Performance Analysis Tool

Our TimeMonitor software imports and analyzes synchronization measurement data from a variety of sources to assess network synchronization. These sources include dedicated jitter/wander tests used in networks and labs throughout the world; GPS, Synchronization Supply Unit (SSU) and Building Integrated Timing Supply (BITS) equipment capable of taking measurements; packet timing data using timestamped NTP or IEEE® 1588 packets; and counters using the TimeMonitor Measurement application.

Key Features

  • Multiple signal analysis and measurement capability
  • Extensive and flexible analysis capability
  • Packet timing analysis (NTP, IEEE 1588/PTP)
  • Multiple vendor test equipment data files support
  • Source measurement equipment includes 53100A Phase Noise Analyzer, MeasDB TimeScale and TimeProvider® 4100 server monitoring

Extensive and Flexible Analysis Capability

The phase, frequency, Maximum Time Interval Error (MTIE), Time Deviation (TDEV), Allan Deviation (ADEV) and Modified Allan Deviation (MDEV) results from multiple measurements can be overlaid on the same graph. You can also use the TimeMonitor software to analyze Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs), histograms and statistics and compute frequency in seven different ways.

Multiple Vendor Support

This application allows you to import data from a variety of industry-standard jitter/wander test equipment that is available from many vendors.

Customizable Display

You can customize the display and have complete control over the graph.

Online Help

An interactive online help system guides you through options and describes some of the analysis algorithms.

Application Suite

TimeMonitor Analyzer Application

The TimeMonitor Analyzer application imports and analyzes synchronization measurement data from a variety of sources and performs a wide range of analyses.

  • Multiple vendor support—frequency counters, jitter/wander test sets, phase noise test sets, timing distribution systems and time scale systems
  • Multiple signal capability
  • Extensive and flexible analysis options
  • Packet timing analysis (NTP, IEEE/PTP, QoE)
  • Test to ITU-T, ETSI, ANSI and Telcordia requirements
  • Works with the TimePictra® platform, TimeCraft and all TimeMonitor applications

TimeMonitor Measurement Application

The TimeMonitor Measurement application performs inexpensive multiple-channel synchronization measurements using off-the-shelf counters with live phase/frequency display.

  • Measures jitter and wander measurements with portable, off-the-shelf counters
  • Measures up to eight signals simultaneously with one computer
  • Connects telecom traffic signals such as DS1 and E1 signals directly to the counters

TimeMonitor Retrieve Application

The TimeMonitor Retrieve application collects live or archived measurement data from our synchronization equipment.

  • Collects data or makes live measurements from our equipment
  • Supports TimeProvider servers, Synchronization Supply Unit (SSU) 2000 and TimeHub® 5500 system

TimeMonitor XLi Application

The TimeMonitor XLi application performs XLi PPS or 1/5/10 MHz measurements with live phase/frequency display.

TimeMonitor PDV Application

The TimeMonitor PDV application performs Packet Delay Variation (PDV) IEEE 1588 PTP probe measurements using the TimeProvider 5000 server.

TimeMonitor TSC Application

The TimeMonitor TSC application performs live phase, phase noise or ADEV measurements remotely using the TSC 5115A/5120A test set.

TimeMonitor Viewer

The TimeMonitor Viewer is used as a companion for viewing TimeProvider 4100 server data and is available as a separate application.

TimeMonitor Hardware Specifications

  • Runs on Windows® 10
  • RAM 2 GB or higher
