Our TimeMonitor software imports and analyzes synchronization measurement data from a variety of sources to assess network synchronization. These sources include dedicated jitter/wander tests used in networks and labs throughout the world; GPS, Synchronization Supply Unit (SSU) and Building Integrated Timing Supply (BITS) equipment capable of taking measurements; packet timing data using timestamped NTP or IEEE® 1588 packets; and counters using the TimeMonitor Measurement application.
The phase, frequency, Maximum Time Interval Error (MTIE), Time Deviation (TDEV), Allan Deviation (ADEV) and Modified Allan Deviation (MDEV) results from multiple measurements can be overlaid on the same graph. You can also use the TimeMonitor software to analyze Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs), histograms and statistics and compute frequency in seven different ways.
This application allows you to import data from a variety of industry-standard jitter/wander test equipment that is available from many vendors.
You can customize the display and have complete control over the graph.
An interactive online help system guides you through options and describes some of the analysis algorithms.
