The SyncServer® S650 M-Code modular time server combines the best of time and frequency instrumentation with flexibility and powerful network-based and security-hardened features. The timing output flexibility provides easy replication of precise and coherent output signals, which eliminates the need for a signal distribution chassis.
Other features include:
Our hardened timing systems with M-Code provide superior time and frequency performance in a highly configurable 1U rack-mountable package with redundant and hot-swappable power supplies. The high-performance internal rubidium atomic oscillator can connect with multiple external atomic references to provide accurate long-term synchronization with Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and excellent phase noise and short-term stability that aerospace, communications and defense applications require. These hardened timing systems include expansion ports for hot-swappable I/O modules that provide a wide array of timing signal outputs and high-resolution measurement input ports.
Our portable Position, Navigation and Time (PNT) products provide superior performance in a small lightweight package that is suited for military and intelligence applications. The combination of an internal atomic oscillator, such as CSAC or MAC; M-Code receiver and Inertial Motion Unit (IMU) ensures accurate position and navigation solutions and synchronization to authoritative reference with low phase noise and excellent short-term stability for signal collection applications.
These portable PNT systems provide signal fanout and can be customized with specialized signals and timecodes. Positioning data is also available and can be logged for subsequent post-processing or can be provided in real time via the Ethernet port.
Tactical, field-deployable time-based reference emitters generate synchronized RF signals that can be synchronized by a variety of references, including M-Code, atomic clocks or combinations of time sources. Waveform files can be used to synthesize signals with customized encoding schemes. Varying RF output power amplifiers and antennas are engineered to meet mission requirements. A variety of commands and control via satellite networking is available. Typical tactical systems support multiple active communication channels for continued operations. Enclosures designed for outdoor deployment that are sealed against moisture and conductively cooled are typically used to prevent penetration from outside elements. These systems are typically deployed in the harshest and most unforgiving of tactical environments.
Our PNT plug-in cards with atomic clocks (MAC or CSAC), M-Code GNSS receivers, IMUs, Software-Designed Radios (SDR) and more can be integrated into next-generation PNT systems using a Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA™) aligned approach based on an OpenVPX form factor. We have system-level, card-level and customized solutions that are based on OpenVPX, for your most demanding PNT applications. Using the industry’s most advanced PNT fusion technologies based on our KAS-2 algorithms and two-way time transfer methods, we help decentralize PNT sources to enable the most flexible and extensible SOSA solutions.
Our Precise Time Scale System (PTSS) is a fully integrated, world-class timing system capable of providing timing accuracies comparable to the world’s best national laboratories. It often serves as the backbone for critical national infrastructure and as an authoritative time source for contribution to UTC. The PTSS generates an autonomous time scale by combining several highly accurate, independent clocks. This system has an in-built multi-channel instrument for measuring high-performance cesium clocks or active hydrogen. These frequency standards operate in a free-running mode and are continuously measured against each other to compute and generate the time scale frequency. Multiple signal outputs can be distributed in a wide variety of formats.
Our embedded atomic oscillators are board-mountable and an excellent choice for portable, battery-powered applications where power is limited and quick, accurate frequency is required after power-on. With built-in 1 PPS disciplining capability, these atomic clocks deliver accuracy with low size, weight and power for applications where performance and ruggedness count.
Our extensive OCXO product portfolio supports very high stability/sub-PPB, low phase noise and low g-sensitivity requirements in applications that use M-Code timing products. These OCXO products are ruggedized and hermetically sealed to absorb high levels of shock and vibration and support operating temperature ranging from −55°C to +95°C.
These modules can be disciplined to a PPS signal from an M-Code receiver to provide excellent timing and holdover. The reference clock on these PPS disciplined modules can be a quartz-based oscillator or an atomic clock. These modules are designed to operate in all types of environments and can be easily customized to adapt to all applications.
