The MPLAB XC C/C++ PRO compiler is a full-featured ANSI C and C++ Compiler using Dinkumware libraries for the PIC32 microcontroller family. This compiler integrates into Microchips MPLAB(R) X IDE, is compatible with all Microchip debuggers and emulators, and runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
The MPLAB XC32++ C/C++ compiler license unlocks advanced optimizations to provide the very best code size and performance for your code and also comes with 12 months of High Priority Access, a maintenance subscription providing web access to new version releases and priority technical support for the compiler.
Workstation licenses are not intended for virtual machine build environment. The network/site license and virtual machine add on license provide support for virtual machines.
Overview
Our MPLAB® XC C Compiler PRO license provides valuable optimizations that reduce the size of your code and increase the efficiency of your software. We also offer our 12-month High Priority Access (HPA) product to maintain your PRO license to allow updating your compiler to the latest version, provide you with priority access to technical support and give you free shipping of development tools that you order on Microchip’s Purchasing and Client Services e-commerce website.
Effective September 1, 2020 there were changes made to how MPLAB XC Compiler licenses are renewed. There will be no changes to the actual functions of the licenses. The following changes apply to this license type:
- MPLAB XC PRO licenses will expire one year after activation unless HPA is renewed. This is also applicable to existing licenses.
