The following are key features of the LX7730-EVB Evaluation Board:
The LX7730-EVB Evaluation Board is a hardware platform intended to speed up development with the LX7730 radiation-hardened by design spacecraft telemetry manager. The evaluation board is shipped with an FTDI USB to serial interface adapter and a graphical user interface (GUI) which allows LX7730 registers to be controlled (written and read) from a PC. A 0.1" header allows alternative control of the LX7730 through either parallel or serial interfaces.
The LX7730-EVB's ZIF socket accepts any ceramic-packaged LX7730, and the kit includes an LX7730LMFQ-ES part.
All 64 analog signal inputs, the 8 bi-level analog comparator inputs, and the 8 bi-level logic outputs are routed to loop style test points.
The user guide includes a step-by-step tutorial which uses the GUI and minimal user equipment (a DVM, two resistors, 3 test leads). The tutorial walks an engineer in a hands-on manner through the LX7720's building blocks (comparators, DACs, ADC, sensor current sources, instrumentation amplifier, and input multiplexor) teaching both GUI and LX7730 operations.
