Embedded World Demo Preview

Demo

Description

10BASE-T1S Extended Reach V2

This demo showcases how to connect 50 nodes over a 98m cable and assemble in a very compact way with a net that helps sustain the cables.

10BASE-T1S Sustainability

This demo showcases how 10BASE-T1S can be used in the sustainability megatrend, enabling the connection of a heat pump with a lean, cloud-based home automation application.

PIC64GX Video and Webserver

Using the PIC64GX Curiosity Kit, this demo highlights a CSI-2® camera input to the video pipeline and output from the pipeline to an HDMI® display while running a web server simultaneously.

PolarFire® FPGAs Enable Edge AI Applications With NVIDIA® Holoscan™

This demo showcases real-time pose estimation—identifying and tracking human body positions and movement. A camera captures a live video, which is sent to the PolarFire FPGA acting as a sensor bridge. Preprocessed data is passed to NVIDIA Holoscan, where advanced algorithms detect and track movements. The final output, displayed on a monitor, includes visual markers highlighting the identified poses.

SLVS-EC™ to Multi-Lane CoaXPress® for High-Bandwidth Video Transmission in Medical Imaging

This demo showcases a PolarFire FPGA processing a 40 Gbps SLVS-EC camera stream and transmitting it over multi-lane CoaXPress to enable high-bandwidth video applications like medical imaging and machine vision.

Automotive Keyless Car Entry

This demo features a keyless car entry system powered by facial recognition. A high-definition video from a camera is transmitted to a PolarFire FPGA using Gigabit Multimedia Serial Link (GMSL), where real-time processing identifies authorized faces and unlocks the car. It showcases the efficiency of GMSL for in-vehicle video transmission and the PolarFire FPGA's capabilities in image processing and machine learning.

Automotive Cockpit

This demo shows the life-size model of a car cockpit with front seats and touchscreens.

On-Cell Foldable OLED with Knob-on-Display™ (KoD™) Technology

Foldable OLED display with a small Knob-on-Display user interface.

Water Fountain Touch Display

A touchscreen tablet is placed under a working water fountain to showcase its waterproof and glove-friendly functionality.

Automotive Interior Lighting

This demo showcases how to use our dsPIC33C DSC to drive multiple mini/micro-LED matrix display modules for automotive applications. The demo features include zonal architecture, high brightness, low power consumption and competitiveness as an alternative to OLED solutions. Graphics are streamed via the 10BASE-T1S Ethernet standard.

Solar Power Management HMI

This solar power management Human-Machine Interface (HMI) graphics demo showcases the capabilities of the SAMA7D65 Curiosity board with a 10-inch 1280 × 800 LVDS display.

Automotive Dashboard GUI with Screen Mirroring

This graphics demo includes an automotive dashboard GUI with screen mirroring of the map from a phone over Wi-Fi® to showcase the capabilities of the SAM9X75 MPU.

Truck Loading Bay Augmented by AI

Discover a parking lot/truck-loading bay monitoring application running on our SAMA7G54, a single-core Arm® Cortex®-A7 based microprocessor. This demo, augmented by AI, leverages Edge Impulse® model creation and training capabilities.

TrustMANAGER Building Access Management

This demo features an electric lock equipped with the EA06V72A development kit that includes an ECC608 TrustMANAGER secure IC. Connected to Kudelski IoT keySTREAM™ SaaS, the demo enables credential rotation and secure access management. While on display, it can 3D-print keys labeled with the Microchip.com/TPDS link, using files stored directly on the printer.

New Concept/Synchronization Solution That Is GNSS Synchronized for Automotive

The Azurite System Synchronizer PLL provides multiple phase-aligned system clocks with a 1 PPS (1 Hz) input clock from GNSS. This enables synchronization of time-of-day information across a vehicle’s Time-Sensitive Network (TSN).

Steering Wheel with Heating and HoD

This demo showcases the lowest-cost implementation of Hands-off Detection (HoD) with combined heating, using a simple low-cost sensor and a single-chip solution with firmware for acquisition and post-processing.

Turnkey Touch Demo

See a demo of the simplicity and new features of our next-generation turnkey touch solution. The demo includes three development kits to explore touch buttons, sensitivity adjustments, wake-up mode testing and the full ecosystem provided.

PCIe® and ASA-ML for Automotive High-Performance Computing (HPC)

Harnessing the power of our latest PCIe switch family and ASA-ML zonal aggregators, this demo enables seamless, multi-host communication, which forms the foundation of a scalable, central compute architecture for automotive HPC.

Smart Warehouse

This demo presents an industrial warehouse solution equipped with energy harvesting capabilities, sensor management, fan control and motor-driven access control. It features a gateway and an HMI designed for industrial applications with a focus on sustainability. The system utilizes wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE), Thread® and sub-GHz, with the TrustMANAGER demo connected to a 32-bit microprocessor and Ethernet PHY.
