Microchip In China
Microchip established its first sales and technical office in Shanghai in 1996.
Microchip China has 16 sales and technical offices operating on the China mainland to date: Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Shanghai, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Wuhan, Xiamen, Xian and Zhuhai.
The development center in Shanghai specializes in Flash memory devices, and through the acquisition of Microsemi, they also have an R&D team focusing on communication and data center product developments.
Microchip China works with approximately 170 strategic channel partners supported by over 1,100 sales and technical representatives spread out in 350 locations across China to serve more than 12,000 customers.
Microchip employs approximately 440 employees on the China mainland.
