Overview
The MCP331x1x-xx 1 Msps 16-bit SAR ADC Evaluation Board (ADM00873) can be used to evaluate the performance of the MCP331x1x-xx SAR ADC device family. With the MCP33131D-10 16-bit 1 Msps Differential SAR A/D converter on-board, users can assess various performance aspects of the high-precision A/D converter.
In the ADM00873 Rev2, the SDI and SDO pins are assigned as per the mikroBUS specification, while in ADM00873 Rev1, they are swapped. This is the only difference between Rev2 and Rev1, making the firmware written for the combination of ADM00873 Rev2 and EV64F02A incompatible with ADM00873 Rev1 (unless the SDI and SDO signals are swapped on the ADM00873 Rev1 board). However, the ADC Evaluation GUI 3.2.0 also provides compatibility with the old firmware written for Curiosity V1 (DM320104) and ADM00873 Rev1, which can be found in the installation folder of the GUI under the name MCP33131_R3_ADM00873_rev1_PIC32MZ_Curiosity1.production.hex.
