FlashPro Express provides JTAG programming and In-System Programming (ISP) for the PolarFire® SoC, PolarFire, IGLOO® 2, SmartFusion® 2 and RTG4™ FPGA families.
FlashPro Express is available as a stand-alone tool and is also integrated with releases of Libero® SoC Design Suite version 12.0 or later.
Install the FlashPro standa-lone tool if you are using Libero SoC Design Suite version 11.9 or earlier.
Through the FlashPro Express programming tool, the following hardware programmers are used to program the FPGA families.
FlashPro 6 supports all devices in the PolarFire, RT PolarFire, PolarFire SoC, SmartFusion 2, IGLOO 2 and RTG4 FPGA families. FlashPro 6 offers extremely high performance through USB 3.0 that supports Serial Peripheral Interconnect (SPI) client and JTAG interfaces.
The minimum requirements to run FlashPro 6 on Windows® and Linux® are Libero® SoC Design Suite, FlashPro Express and SmartDebug version 12.2 or later.
FlashPro 5 supports all devices in the PolarFire, RT PolarFire, PolarFire SoC, SmartFusion 2, IGLOO 2, RTG4, SmartFusion, Fusion, IGLOO, ProASIC 3 and RT ProASIC3 FPGA families. FlashPro 5 offers high performance through USB 2.0 that supports Serial Peripheral Interconnect (SPI) and JTAG interfaces.
The minimum requirements to run FlashPro 5 on Windows and Linux are Libero SoC Design Suite, FlashPro, FlashPro Express and SmartDebug version 11.4 or later.
FlashPro 4 supports all devices in the PolarFire, SmartFusion 2, IGLOO 2, RTG4, IGLOO, ProASIC 3, RT ProASIC 3, SmartFusion and Fusion FPGA families. FlashPro 4 offers high performance using USB 2.0.
The minimum requirements to run FlashPro 4 on Windows are:Libero IDE and FlashPro v8.6 or later and all versions of Libero SoC, FlashPro Express v12.0 or later and SmartDebug v11.0 or later
FlashPro Express is installed as part of Libero SoC Design Suite version 12.0 or later releases.
A stand-alone FlashPro Express tool is used for lab programming on machines that do not require a full version of Libero SoC Design Suite. It is available as part of our stand-alone FPGA lab tools
