Our XR-A crystals have HC49-style holders that are hermetically sealed with resistance welding. These crystals have an internal environment of 90% nitrogen and 10% helium, which makes them unsuitable for doubly rotated crystal cuts. The leads for the HC49 package can be formed and trimmed for surface-mount applications. The quartz resonator is secured at two points.

XRB is an HC43-style holder that is hermetically sealed by cold weld with an internal vacuum environment. The package is well suited for wide range of frequencies and cuts. The leads of the package can be formed and trimmed for surface mount applications. The quartz resonator is secured at two points.
XRU is an HC37- or TO8-style holder. The package is hermetically sealed by cold weld with an internal vacuum environment. It is well suited for wide range of frequencies and cuts. The quartz resonator is secured at four points for more robust or harsh environment applications.
XRR is an HC35- or TO5-style holder. The package is hermetically sealed by cold weld with an internal vacuum environment. It is well suited for wide range of frequencies and cuts. The quartz resonator is secured at four points for more robust or harsh environment applications. This package has a smaller form factor than the large XRU package.
XRM is a two-point mount, HC45- or UM1-style holder, hermetically sealed by either a resistance or cold weld process allowing either a vacuum or nitrogen backfill. The leads of the package can be formed and trimmed for surface-mount applications. The package has a smaller form factor than the large XRA or XRB package.
