High-Stability, Low-Power, Low-Phase-Noise and Low g-Sensitivity OCXOs

The OCXO, which stands for Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator, provides optimal frequency stability by heating an SC-cut crystal and critical circuitry to a single temperature and maintaining that temperature over a range of environmental temperature changes.

An OCXO is an excellent choice when your application requires a timing reference with part-per-billion frequency stability, extremely low phase noise, short-term stability, low aging or low holdover.

Highest Stability, Low Allan Deviation (ADEV) and Vibration-Compensated Low-g OCXOs

MX-043 OCXO

MX-043

Low ADEV/Phase Noise

The MX-043 OCXO features extremely low short-term stability that exceeds 5e–13 at 1 second, frequency vs. temperature that exceeds 0.5 ppb from −40°C to +85°C and ultra-low phase noise of −142 dBc/Hz @ 10 Hz.

OX-171 OCXO

OX-171

High Temp Stability

The OX-171 is a high-stability ovenized crystal oscillator in a 28 × 38 mm package. It is capable of aging rates of 0.06 ppb/day and temperature stabilities of 1 ppb over an industrial temperature range.

OX-047/OX-048 OCXO

OX-047/OX-048

Ultra-Low g-Sensitivity

For optimal reduction in g-sensitivity, the OX-047/48 series of OCXOs provides active cancellation and with ultra-low phase noise to provide better than 0.02 ppb/g g-sensitivity between 10 Hz and 250 Hz.

OX-204 OXCO

OX-204

Low Phase Noise

With a noise floor as low as −175 dBc/Hz, the OX-204 targets applications that demand extremely low noise sources. It can be used as the reference oscillator for a phase-locked loop in the microwave spectrum.

Low-Power EMXO and Small-Size, Surface-Mount OCXOs

EX-421 OXCO

EX-421

Low Power

The EX-421 is a low-power solution that provides exceptionally low aging rates and tight temperature stabilities in an extremely small package. This EMXO is a well suited for handheld radios or battery-powered applications.

OX-221 OXCO

OX-224

High Stability

The OX-224 is an ultra-low-phase-noise OCXO with excellent aging and temperature stability for superb holdover performance. It is designed for applications that demand very stable, low-noise sources.

OX-228 OXCO

OX-228

Low Holdover

This CMOS-output OCXO is an excellent choice for 5G macro base stations and IEEE 1588 applications. It provides very good frequency stability and excellent holdover performance and is available in a 22 × 25 mm small-form-factor SMD enclosure.

OX-601 OXCO

OX-601

Small Form Factor

This mini-OCXO provides high stability and excellent short-term stability in a small footprint, bridging the gap between AT cut-based TCXOs and larger OCXO designs. It is an excellent choice for small-form-factor 5G base station applications.
