Introduction to PolarFire® FPGA Transceivers

Course Details

This one-day training course builds on the concepts that are presented in the Introduction to PolarFire® FPGAs training class. You will learn how to use the PolarFire FPGA’s transceiver blocks to implement high-speed serial designs. Hands-on lab exercises using the PolarFire Splash Kit will demonstrate the concepts covered in this class.

Location

This class is taught virtually using WebEx®

Course Objectives

  • Develop an understanding of the features of the PolarFire FPGA transceiver blocks
  • Learn how to use the transceiver configurators to implement high-speed serial interfaces
  • Learn about the PolarFire FPGA transceiver debug features and use SmartDebug to adjust the transceiver eye diagram

Course Requirements

Requirements for Hands-on Lab

  • The latest version of Libero SoC Design Suite installed with the working license file (30-Day Seminar license or any of the paid licenses: Gold, Platinum, Archival)
  • PolarFire Splash Kit; see FPGA Kits and Hardware for more information

If you do not have the kit, you can still create the design and run the simulations, but you will not be able to program and debug your design.

Registration
