Join Us at IEEE® Space Computing 2024

The International Conference on Space Mission Challenges for Information Technology (SMC-IT) and the Space Computing Conference (SCC) bring together system designers, engineers, computer architects, scientists, practitioners and space explorers to advance information technology and the computational capability and reliability of space missions.

Taking place at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, the event will run from July 15–19, 2024. Visit us at our booth and attend our technical presentation to learn how we are empowering innovation in space.

HPSC Workshop

HPSC: Redefine What's Possible for the Future of Space Computing

Because of the vast amounts of data collected by sensors and imaging devices that must be processed in situ to enable autonomous decision making, advanced edge computing is the cornerstone of future space missions. Developed in a groundbreaking partnership between Microchip and NASA/JPL, the High-Performance Spaceflight Computing (HPSC) processor represents the most cutting-edge space computing solution that brings AI acceleration to a space processor for the first time.

This workshop will begin with a keynote address by NASA executive Dr. Prasun Desai on the agency’s strategic investment in HPSC technology. Both Microchip and JPL will give an overview of the hardware and software of the HPSC processor. Esteemed guest speakers from the aerospace industry will share their insights on why the HPSC is a game changer for space computing. Following the presentations, a Q&A session will be held for an opportunity to engage with the expert panel.

This session will take place on Tuesday, July 16, from 1–5 p.m. PDT in Room 4. To learn more about the HPSC processor, read our NASA JPL Selects Microchip for Game-Changing Spaceflight Computing Processor blog article
