USB Media Hub Application Overview
A media hub provides an interface from the vehicle’s infotainment system to personal electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets. In addition to providing a data link, the media hub also supplies power to charge the batteries used in these devices. USB Power Delivery (PD) enables the quick charging of devices by providing up to 100W of power via the media hub.
