Safety Contactor Application Overview
Safety contactors are widely used in Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) to provide protection as the number of high-voltage subsystems increases. Safety contactors have auxiliary contacts permanently connected to the contactors so they cannot be snapped off and are therefore more reliable in high-vibration environments.
