The SAM9X75 Curiosity Development Board features a SAM9X75D2G MPU and is the evaluation platform for the SAM9X7 Series MPU devices. The SAM9X75D2G is a high-performance, ultra-low power ARM926EJ-S CPU-based embedded microprocessor (MPU) running up to 800 MHz, with an integrated 2 Gbit DDR3L memory. The device integrates powerful peripherals for connectivity and user interface applications, including MIPI DSI®, LVDS, RGB and 2D graphics, MIPI-CSI-2, Gigabit Ethernet with TSN, USB and CAN-FD. Advanced security functions are offered, such as tamper detection, secure boot, secure key storage, TRNG, PUF as well as high-performance crypto accelerators for AES and SHA.
The SAM9X75 Curiosity Development Board includes 4Gbit SLC NAND Flash, a 64Mb QSPI Nor Flash, a Gigabit Ethernet interface through SODIMM 260-pin connector, a LAN8840 EDS2 Daughter Card to evaluate Microchip LAN8840 Gigabit Ethernet RGMII Ethernet PHY, MCP16502 Power Management IC optimized for the module and one extra DC/DC converter to supply interfaces such as the Gigabit Ethernet interface and the Wireless M.2 interface.
The SAM9X75 Curiosity Development Board is intended for evaluation of all variants of the SAM9X75 MPU, including the System in Package (SIP) variants and the System on Module (SOM). It is built on a common set of proven Microchip components to reduce time to market by simplifying hardware design and software development. It also simplifies design rules of the main application board, reducing overall PCB complexity and cost. The SAM9X75 Curiosity Development Board is delivered with a free Linux distribution and bare metal C code examples.
The SAM9X75-Curiosity kit includes the following:
The MPLAB® Snap In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer allows affordable, fast and easy debugging and programming of PIC®, dsPIC® and AVR flash MCUs and MPUs, using the powerful graphical user interface of MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The MPLAB Snap can be connected to a design engineer's computer using a High-Speed USB 2.0 interface and can be connected to the target via an 8-pin Single In-Line (SIL) connector. The connector uses two device I/O pins and the reset line to implement in-circuit debugging and In-Circuit Serial Programming™ (ICSP™). It has all the speed and features entry-level users need to quickly debug their prototype.
5" LVDS WVGA LCD Display Module is an extension board intended to be used with Microchip MPU Curiosity boards, including a capacitive touch sensor with a maXTouch controller
The linux4samwebsite provides access to Microchip's Linux software and tool developments for our MPUs.
The SAM-BA software tool supports in-system programming of Microchip ARM-based MCUs and MPUs.
The MPLAB® PICkit™ 5 in-circuit debugger/programmer enables quick prototyping and portable, production-ready programming for all Microchip devices, including PIC® microcontrollers (MCUs) and dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs), AVR® and SAM devices and Arm® Cortex®-based microprocessors (MPUs).
The MPLAB® ICD 5 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer offers advanced connectivity and power options for developers of designs based on PIC®, AVR® and SAM devices and dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs).
MPLAB® X Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is an expandable, highly configurable software program that incorporates powerful tools to help you discover, configure, develop, debug and qualify embedded designs for most of Microchip’s microcontrollers, microprocessors and digital signal controllers.
The MPLAB ICE 4 in-circuit emulator system boosts productivity with feature-rich programming and debugging for PIC®, AVR® and SAM devices and dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs).
